Shizendo def. "the way of positive self-evolvement through natural means".

Aikido training

Shizendo Aiki-waza class is a relaxed style of Aikido training.  Although traditional Aikido concepts are covered, the primary focus is on Shizendo Aiki-waza's "non-fighting mind" philosophy that is demonstrated by the relaxed and relatively non-violent nature of take-downs and locks.  Unique to Shizendo Aiki-waza are principles of "sliding hands", "sliding feet" swivel free hip/knee/feet coordination, "tail wags the dog", "stutter step avoidance", etc.   Aiki-waza training integrates freehand, wooden staff(jo), wooden sword(bokken) arts, muscle energy testing and Ki sensitivity. more info...

Ki Wellness Education

Shizendo Kakki-ho is a "hands on" wellness education class on functional relaxation and stress release activities.  Two fundamental Shizendo skills covered are muscle energy(Ki) testing and intuitive Ki sensing.  Learn and apply these skills to measure stress levels and Ki energy and if out of balance learn what is needed to at least temporarily restore the Ki energy balance.  more info...
